Vision

A world where every child’s potential is is uplifted, nurtured, and recognized by an inclusive, engaged, and loving community.

Mission

We aim to create transformational change in how our communities, organizations, and systems nurture the well-being of children and youth so that all children and youth may thrive.

Mayerson Child Well-being Initiative (MCWI) launched in 2022, with a kick-off celebration that shared diverse perspectives through research, story, and art and promoted child thriving. At the beginning of the initiative, MCWI focused on learning how youth, family, and community understand child and youth well-being and on developing measures of well-being and the factors that nurture it. MCWI’s goal is to infuse these measures into different initiatives for testing and advancing our collective knowledge of well-being. As we move forward, MCWI’s hope is to see increasing testing and implementation of positively framed, strengths-based, child- and family-centered interventions, with increasing positive engagement from children, youth, and families across settings.
